Of course they do. We have noticed our chickens going crazy whenever a grasshopper, which we have had a lot of this year, goes flying through while they are out free ranging. Over the long weekend we decided to collect some special treats for our chickens. We spent a nice afternoon out grasshopper hunting and caught 5 grasshoppers. It was a wonderful chance for some outdoor exercise during beautiful weather, some scientific observation of a fascinating insect, and a delicious treat for our birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/mother-of-flowers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/20220903_123613-1.jpg 1612w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Awesome surprise this week, we found our first eggs!
